The Conservation of the 600+ core images in this collection was funded by a grant from the Nord Family Foundation to BRHS. The website is hosted through ongoing support from CenturyTel.
The images were all scanned from either original historical photographs or modern prints made from historic glass plate negatives or lantern slides at 600 ppi, they were then downsampled to 600pixels wide, with variable length.
There are two methods you may use to access the collection: a search engine where you may type in search queries and view the results or a brand new image term index, arranged in alphabetical order. We would appreciate any and all of your comments or suggestions.
Please note that all digital images displayed in the photo archive and throughout the Black River Historical Society website are copyrighted. Please see the conditions for reproduction.
