As Lorain grew in population, the need for a second fire station appeared. In 1895, the "Tiger Hose Company" was formed. In 1896, a third company was created and was called the "Tom L. Johnson Company". This picture is of a fire truck stuck in the mud of a Lorain city street. This was before many of the streets of Lorain were paved.
