A skating rink that was nearby was also destroyed and several skaters were thrown into the lake. Many automobiles were lifted from the road and crashed into the lake and onto the beach at Lakeview Park, like these in this picture. After finishing with Lakeview Park, the tornado headed for downtown Lorain.
