This photograph was taken from the top of the Eagles Building on Sixth Street and Broadway at daybreak following the night of the storm. It shows the damage in the principal business district. Almost every building in the downtown district was damaged. Close to 200 businesses were wrecked. The smokestack in the background is from the powerplant at the end of Oberlin Avenue.
