This is a picture of one of the rooms of the original Lorain Products plant in the early days of the company. In 1946, Lorain Products introduced another revolutionary product called the Flotrol rectifier-charger. These devices convert AC electrical power to DC power to charge the batteries at the phone company that keep the phones working when the power goes out in homes and businesses during storms.
