The second largest park in Lorain is Lakeview Park. The park was purchased in 1916 after prompting from Lorain Mayor Leonard Moore for $55,000. This is a picture of the park from the beach side with the bath house in the background. The purchase of the land for the park followed was not universally popular and required a good bit of politicking and, ultimately, a compromise between city council and the mayor.
