This is a picture of passengers disembarking from the streetcars of the Lake Shore Electric Railway at "The Loop" in downtown Lorain. Many families took the Lake Shore Electric Railway to various destinations on the lakeshore, such as Crystal Beach, between Vermilion and Lorain and Cedar Point. This was a popular mode of transportation and was very cheap and typically faster than driving a car.
