During the 1920s, three streetcar companies served Lorain. The Lake Shore Electric traveled along the lake front to Cleveland and Toledo. The Lorain Street Railway traveled along Braodway to South Lorain, and the old Green Line (because their cars were painted dark green) operated along Reid Avenue to 21st Street and out South Broadway to Elyria.
