The Palace Theater is still there and going strong. The marquee has changed and the sign above it is now gone. The Palace Theatre opened on April 19, 1928. The theater was billed as the "largest one-floor theater in the State of Ohio". It covered .59 acres and had 1720 seats including the luxurious loges and boxes located on the sides of the auditorium. These were all upholstered in genuine leather. This photo was taken on a Sunday so the street is empty.
